Engineering - Your vision, our mission

“The ideal engineer is a composite … He is not a scientist, he is not a mathematician, he is not a sociologist or a writer, but he may use the knowledge and techniques of any or all of these disciplines in solving engineering problems.”
 —Nathan W. Dougherty

Engineering is a branch of science that deals with the creation of ideas into reality. It is the perfect combination and implementation of science and math, to put up the best of human-made structure. There are various fields in engineering, which has a lot of different types of engineers who work on building everything from the smallest chip of an electronic device, to the tallest building in the world. They take complete responsibility for anything that is physically visible to the human eyes, may it be roads, houses, transport medium, software, etc. etc. Top colleges in Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and other cities are doing a great job by sending out a few of the most efficient engineers which the country needs.
The study of engineering has various branches, which offer a Bachelor as well as Master degree. It takes a total of six years for a student to finish his/her engineering studies; four years of Bachelors and two years of Master program.

The engineers have a set of roles and responsibilities which are to be followed, to fulfil the tasks in a systematic manner. Below given are their duties which determine the efficiency of the particular person;

       Assist in planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects.
       Work with management to develop a project budget.
       Provide support in developing energy conservation and management programs.
       Work in compliance with standard operating procedures and company policies.
       Conduct routine maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
       Support in conducting an energy audit and implement audit recommendations.
       Address customer complaints in a timely and accurate manner.
       Ensure that the work area is maintained clean, safe and organised.
       Execute daily workload assigned by the Project Manager in a timely fashion.
       Analyse potential problems and suggest corrective actions.
       Manage repair and maintenance requests promptly.
       Assist other Engineers when needed.
       Develop preventive maintenance programs and support in energy conservation improvements.

Branches of Engineering:

With over 40 different branches, Engineering is considered one of the most diverse fields in the educational and the professional sector. Students get a lot of options to choose from, as the course has a wide range of subjects to offer.
Lets now list a few other popular branches of engineering which have a good demand in the industry;

       Civil Engineering
       Computer Engineering
       Chemical Engineering
       Petroleum Engineering
       Textile Engineering
       Automobile Engineering

Master of Technology (M.Tech)is the higher specialisation course in the field of engineering, with a duration of two years. There are a lot of M.Tech colleges in Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, and different parts of the country which offer a full time as well as distant education of the particular course.

A student needs to look into and do a good research of the field he/she is interested in or is considering to choose.
